So for the first time in the 3 years I have organized the Boston Spanish Meetup Group, we all wore nametags!
All 32 members that came tonight participated and everyone seemed to think it was grand! Nametags really helped since their are always new people and it's near impossible to remember everyone's names. Everyone in the photos below is wearing a nametag, even though you may not be able to see all of them. Even our server played along and wore a nametag! A couple of our members said they were interested in joining the Nametag Project.
One of the best parts of the evening was that Tom (one of our most established Spanish group members) met some women at the bar who were not part of our group, and they asked him if they could wear nametags too! They had read about the Nametag Project (they said they thought they read it in the Metro) and thought it was very cool. Their photo is the last one of the four (at the bottom of this post), and I am hoping they will post comments on their nametag experiences and maybe even join in!
Not bad for my first real night out with a nametag! I gave out 35.
