Hello All!
I think it's interesting to read some the blogs and see the anonymity that we seem to crave when we are going through difficult times. For me as a social worker, it's a bit of an examination of the human condition. During times when we're having trouble, connection with others is probably the most important, yet it is during those times that the nametags come off - and sometimes it's during those times that we turn off the phone and pull down the blinds.
For me this experiment has been very thought provoking. I've had to think about my commitment levels - the difficulty committing to things for one month, never mind one year. It has also made me think about the things that we need to commit to for a lifetime - healthy diets, exercise, for some of us a partner. Regardless of what the commitment is, there will be times that are more difficult than others to stay with the plan. Awareness and mindfulness of our committment is sometimes all that keeps us committed during the hard times.
I'm looking forward to seeing the outcome of the ball game. Anyone wearing a tag will be a winner. Best of luck with the project to Joseph and all the volunteers. If I had time to make a run from Saskatchewan to Boston I'd be there. Have an exciting time!
Stay well! And welcome to Pattie!
